The Steven M. Gootter Foundation is dedicated to saving lives by defeating sudden cardiac death through increased awareness, education and scientific research. We dedicate ourselves to this mission in memory of Steven M. Gootter.
The eigth Annual Gootter Grand Slam tennis tournament and gala dinner was held March 16-17 and featured a gala dinner, tennis tournament and pro-exhibition featuring the Bryan Brothers, the most successful tennis doubles team in history.

John P. Konhilas, PhD., received his second Gootter Investigator Award in 2010. The Investigator Awards at the University of Arizona Sarver Heart Center are designed to foster greater understanding of the causes and prevention of sudden cardiac death.
The long range goal of the Steven M. Gootter Foundation and the Sarver Heart Center is to make sure that all the places where people work, worship and play will have an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in case it is ever needed.
