The ninth Annual Gootter Grand Slam tennis tournament and gala dinner was held Sunday, March 16, 2014 and featured a gala dinner, tennis tournament and pro-exhibition that featured Murphy and Luke Jensen.

John P. Konhilas, PhD., received his second Gootter Investigator Award in 2010. The Investigator Awards at the University of Arizona Sarver Heart Center are designed to foster greater understanding of the causes and prevention of sudden cardiac death.
